About Alexandra Ronan
Congratulations! If you are reading this then you are either thinking about growing your family or you have already been given the good news. Either way, you’re now on the journey of finding a Doula that’s the right fit for you and your family at this very special time. When I started to write this bio, I agonized over just the right words to say. But I want to speak from my heart and if what I say resonates with you and your family, then I would love to hear from you and have the opportunity to be your Doula. I am newer to the Doula scene. I had my three sons in the 90’s and now I am a grandmother and I LOVE IT! When I was having my babies, I did not have a Doula. To be honest, I wasn’t even sure what they did. I had my sister in the room and I had my husband and although they were a big help, I really wish I’d had the support system in someone that could help me navigate the journey from beginning of pregnancy through birth and then postpartum. Six years ago my sister-in-law became a Doula and then a Midwife. I loved listening to her stories and the excitement in her voice when she would talk about another birth that she was a part of. At the same time our small family business we had owned for 35 years was coming to an end and I was looking for that next career that would bring me joy, excitement and fulfillment. But I knew my new career would have to be something that could make a positive difference in someone’s life also. So, I decided to leap into the world of a Doula so that I could offer other parents the opportunity to experience having someone support them with their own personal birth plan and options they may not be aware of. While at the same time giving you emotional and physical support before the birth and after the birth, but especially during labor. It’s important to find a doula that fits best for You. I would love the opportunity to meet you over the phone or Zoom to see if I am that fit for you. I look forward to meeting you. Because I love books I will end with this: Every birth is it’s own story. You are the author of this book, but I would be thrilled to be a small part of the first chapter in your baby’s life.
