Hi, I’m Tayna, a California Licensed Midwife, Certified Professional Midwife (CPM), VBAC Specialist, and professional doula trainer with years of experience supporting families through pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery. I founded Doulas of California because I saw too many families struggle to access the support they deserved. My mission is to make high-quality doula care, prenatal education, lactation support, and birth advocacy more accessible through insurance-covered services whenever possible. My care philosophy is centered on informed choice, compassionate support, and personalized care. Every family has unique goals, values, and circumstances, and I believe your support team should honor and respect those choices. In addition to attending births and supporting clients directly, I train and mentor doulas throughout California and work to expand access to professional doula services across the state. Whether you’re planning a hospital birth, VBAC, unmedicated birth, or simply looking for additional guidance during pregnancy and postpartum, my goal is to help you feel confident, prepared, and supported. I specialize in VBAC support, prenatal education, labor preparation, breastfeeding support, postpartum recovery, and helping families navigate insurance-covered doula services.
